Penny's First Tooth!!

For the last week or so Penny has been getting her first tooth.  It just recently poked through enough that I could ttake a good picture of it.  She was pretty wiggly at the time so it was kind of hard, but I think I managed to get a pretty good one.

It's the bottom front right tooth, in case it's hard to see.  She's getting in her second tooth right now.  It's the one right next to it and it should be poking through any day now.  Unfortunately, as a result Penny has been a little cranky lately.  I would be too, if my only tooth kept hitting my top gums and my bottom gums had somthing sharp coming through them...poor thing.  Despite the pain we still managed to have a pretty good Memorial Day weekend.  We didn't do anything really special, but we were able to hang out around the house and get some things done.  On Sunday we went over to Brad's parent's house and had dinner with the family.  It was fun to see everyone and to see all the little grandkids playing together.  I think it was Penny's first time seeing her cousin Grayson (4 month old) and Joseph (5 weeks old) up close.  We learned that Penny out-weighs her cousin Danasia (1 1/2 years old) by 2 lbs!!  Penny is such a tub!!  We're looking forward to July when Brad's sister, Wendy, is in town.  All the grandkids will be together for the first time.  It will be fun to see Penny next to her cousin Adam who is one month older than her, but smaller then her.  This upcoming weekend Brad and I are going up to Boise to visit the family cabin for the weekend.  It will be lots of fun.  I can't wait to be up in the mountains and leave the cares of home and work behind.  We will have no TV, no computers and no cell phones.  All of our entertainment will come from each other's company!!  The dogs LOVE it up there, they can run free and Brad doesn't have to wipe their feet when they come inside.  It will be WONDERFULL!!  I just hope it doesn't rain the whole time.  I will be sure to take the camera and I will post lots of pictures, so be prepared.

Penny's six month check-up

"That's one thriving baby!"  That's the first thing the doctor said to us when he walked into the room today.  Penny is growing great!  She is doing everything she should be doing developmentally and she's in the 95% for her hieght and weight.  Here she is weighing in at 19.5 lbs and 27.5 in!! 

She's so big and looking absolutely adorable in her outfit that Aunt Tammy brought her from Tiawan.  I can't beleive that my baby is so big already.  I swear that just yesterday she could barely hold up her head.  Now she's trying to figure out how to crawl.  Time goes by way too fast..she'll be going to school before I know it...I don't want to think about that right now, it's making me sad.

Penny is only three weeks old in this picture.  I love the way she is looking at her daddy. 

Brad really really wanted to be sure we got a picture of Penny in a stocking, even through Christmas is still a few weeks away we had to hurry and get this picture before she got too big. 

We blessed Penny on January 9.  It was a wonderful event and I'm so gald to have so many friends and family experience it with us. 

Her beautiful dress was made by Brad's mother, Barbara.  Thank you SO much Barbara.  It is gorgeous!!

Here she is with Taylor.  Taylor is the one who brilliantly came up with the name Tallulah, or Tallu for short while I was pregnant.  Penny will forever be know as Tallu to my family.

Very First Post

So I decided to start a blog.  I thought it would be good idea, especially since now that we have a little one we need to document everything that she's doing.  So here it goes...I guess I should start with telling you a little about us.  Brad and I met on a blind date in November 2005.  We got married May 12, 2007  

and about a year later we got our dog, Bailey.  

In December 2008 we bought our home in Logan.  In January 2010 we got our second dog Mackie. 

On November 2010 we had our little girl Penny.  She is six months old now and is huge!!  She's such a little tushy love and she makes me smile everyday. 

Well, that's us in a nut shell.  I don't have my camera with me so I'll be sure to post pictures tomorrow.  Don't worry, my posts will become better and more interesting, I promise.
